There are times in our lives
when we feel we are not coping as well as we would like to, or we
wish to bring about change in our lives. Counselling could help
you.
You may be experiencing:
grief/bereavement
relationship or marriage issues
separation or divorce
depression
stress or anxiety
anger
work problems
a mid-life crisis
stuck in unhelpful patterns of behaviour
These are just a few examples. We are all
individual and experience a huge range of different situations and emotions.
Counselling is a time and space where you
are the most important factor. It is a place where I support you in a
non-judgemental, caring, honest and empathic way. A space for you to explore,
feel and sense those aspects of you and your life which need to be worked
through, understood and re-evaluated.
I work in an integrative and creative way,
covering a broad range of theories, choosing whatever is right at the
time to help you heal yourself. I believe we are ‘holistic’
beings and that our mind, body and soul are all linked together as a whole.
Therefore, one will impact upon the other and emotions can manifest themselves
in parts of our physical body too.
“Thank you for all your wonderful
support this year.
I couldn’t have done it without my sessions!”
The counselling relationship is a dynamic
in which you are empowered to be open, honest and to blossom and grow;
enabling you to achieve personal growth and understanding.
I see counselling as a process
and best not looked at as a miracle cure. It’s an exploration
and valuing of ourselves and a commitment, which may take weeks,
months or even years. It can be challenging, but also very rewarding
and life changing.
